Can someone please give me the correct phone number that I need to rearrange my ISDN2e installation?
An engineer came round this morning but I missed him. I didn't know he'd call as I hadn't been given a date and time beforehand like I had for my business phone line installation. Anyway he told me to phone BT to make a new appointment. The only number I had was 0800 032 8751 - this was the wrong department but they put me through to the correct one. I gave the operator my job reference but there was two letters missing from the end of it. I then phoned back the engineer who gave me the extra two letters that he'd forgotten to write on his card. I called back 0800 032 8751, asked for the ISDN people and then got cut off! Tried again and then got lost somewhere in the system.
I then tried to email the helpdesk who couldn't help me because it was the broadband helpdesk even though it was actually the ISDN helpdesk according to the website, although they did give me a number to try - 0800 800 154. Great! Except that it asks you to key in the phone number you want to speak about... but I don't have a number... I don't have a line yet... that's what I'm trying to get!
Next I tried the livechat helpdesk who gave me the number 0800 800 152. Same thing - please key in the telephone number you want to speak about.
I phoned back 0800 032 8751 and asked again to be put through to someone who could rearrange my ISDN2e installation. They could! Fantastic! I thought I would get back to the original people I'd given my incorrect reference number to. Almost. I was being put through to an ISDN helpline and was given their numberfir reference - 0800 085 0816. Before I was connected I was told I would now be connected to ISDN Order Management as they would be better suited to my enquiry. I was also given their number for reference - 0800 850 1193. ISDN Order Management rang and rang and rang and rang until it eventually gave up with a very quiet pre-recorded message about calling out-of-hours... I think, it was very quiet. So I hung up and dialled 0800 850 1193 myself. It would appear that 0800 850 1193 doesn't exist judging by the continuous tone I got when I called. So I then tried the 0800 085 0816 number that I'd been given. Hooray, I got through... success! That is until I gave the woman my job reference number only to be told that she didn't have a record of that reference number. She aksed what my number is. i told her I don't have a number yet as I don't have an ISDN line yet. She just sighed and sat in silence for about 20 seconds so I hung up.
So I now find myself at the last resort of the forums in the hope that there is another customer who may have that elusive phone number that I'm looking for! Sorry for the long-wonded rant, but it shouldn't take two hours just to reschedule an engineer.

It was ordered through my local BT Local office. I tried phoning them incidentally but they couldn't help me.
The card that the engineer left says the provider is BT Retail.

cant see why the lady didnt take your post code down that would bring up all the details.
cant understand why BT can give an estimated time rather then AM / PM and why engineers cant call in advance.
