Business One Plan Unlimited

Does anyone know if the 5000 minutes of Local, National and some International calls and the 300 minutes of UK Mobile calls that are included in the BT Business Plan Unlimited tariff plan is per line which is how the fee is charged or as per the customer account which is what the Fair Usage Policy indicates?

Re: Business One Plan Unlimited

I have asked the very same question today from BTLB who are trying to persuade me to move back to BT.

With 10 channels of ISDN and an old switch which may always try to use lines in a specific order, the difference between 5,000 and 50,000 free minutes overall is considerable.  The same applies to the 300 minutes of UK mobile calls.

As soon as I hear back, I'll post up their response.

Re: Business One Plan Unlimited

Well there you have it.. the response regarding my 10 channels of ISDN query is:

A) You will only be charged once you have gone over the whole 50.000 minutes.

B) Yes you do have 3000 minutes in total to use.

Should I sign up today? I'm thinking its gonna save me over £2k a year.

PS.. spoke to my current CPS provider today who said that if this BT offer is genuine, its gonna put a whole new perspective on the market.... he couldn't believe it!

Re: Business One Plan Unlimited

The Unlimited offer is fantastic. I've had the opportunity to run a spend analysis for a good number of customers who have calls and lines with other providers. To date, I have only found one potential customer that will not benefit from the Unlimited calls option (this customer had a very high volume of calls to international mobiles which are not included in the Unlimited bundle - but they did save £60pm by taking the free 500 minute Inclusive option).

BT are perhaps the most heavily regulated organization in the UK (imho) but on the 15th September, OFCOM approved the deregulation of BT's retail "narrowband" market (telecoms speak for calls and lines). OFCOM have concluded that BT no longer holds a position of "significant market share" and from 15th September they de-regualted calls, PSTN and ISDN2e lines (ISDN30 is the only exception). You'll find the full briefing on OFCOM's website.
