Bulk email solution?

hi
Is there a solution for being able to send bulk emails via Outlook?
The organisation for which I work is trying to send mailing list emails via Outlook, but if the number of recipients is a large number (50+), the email will fail to send (recognised as spam).

I know that Outlook isn't really designed for this process, but is there any way that emails sent from our IP address can be verified by the ISP (BT) as safe emails and not spam?

thank you!

Hi secretmachines,

You may find the answer to your query in the FAQ Size limits for sending email. If this does not help please post again and we will look into it further.

Thanks

Dave

Re: Bulk email solution?

Dave. It looks like your link just takes you back to the original question page........?

The bulk email problem has been ongoing for some time now with BT, and it hardly seems worth having the business package if so much time has to be spent dividing up mailing lists to send bulk emails out to clients and members.

It is quite easy for BT to see that our emails are not spam but we are still being penalised in the same way as 'spammers' are. Seems pretty unfair and looks like we will be moving from BT unless things improve pretty quickly.

Please advise of any actions to take.

Hi all,

I just spotted this thread "Sending to multiple email addresses", may be helpful (check out the last post by Diamond88)

Re: Bulk email solution?

Hi there,

You will not be able to send more than 50 recipients using the pop3 server, however if webmail is used you can up this to 200.

Also if you upgrade to Organise and Share you will be able to send more. The mails may not be spam but the servers are restricting the sending due to current climate.

Kind regards,

Stephanie

Re: Bulk email solution?

Do you think that BTs stance will change in relation to the 50 addresses if the 'current climate' changes or reverts to how it was last year.

Thanks Stephanie
