BTServiceStatus - Small.jpgIf you’re a Twitter user and we’ve provided you with your business Broadband service, then in the unlikely situation of a broadband fault we can let you know what’s happening  via Twitter.

So, what do you need to do?

If you haven’t got a Twitter account, then go to www.twitter.com and create one.

Then once you're logged in to your Twitter account, go to our Twitter Service Status page and click the ‘Follow’ button. Shortly after doing this, you'll receive a confirmation message from us.

We then need to know the fault reference number that you’ve been provided with, so that we can let you know how it’s progressing.  Just drop us a private message each time you want an update – should prevent the need to call our technical helpdesk.  Of course, we are always there to help if you need us!

All you have to do is send to our twitter account BTServiceUpdate, a direct message with your fault reference number in the format shown below :

D BTServiceUpdate BBFU <Fault Reference>

*replace <Fault Reference> with the fault reference provided. It will be in the format of VOL011-23275440705.

It’s that simple.

How do I un-register?
To cancel the service, simply stop following us on Twitter. If you have any questions, please just send us an "@BTServiceUpdate" reply via Twitter and well get back to you.

We’re trialling this service in the U.K. and so if you have any feedback we’d appreciated it. Just send us a direct message in the format D BTServiceUpdate FB <and the message>.
