Internet voice – The power of call forward

by BT Employee on 25-11-2008 09:19 AM

For most businesses, a missed call is a missed opportunity.

Even if the customer leaves a number, the moment has passed and possibly their interest with it!

Businesses that use BT VoIP products such as Broadband Voice and BT Hosted VoIP have a number of flexible call forwarding features that help to negate this risk.

Here’s my top 3, all included in your service and ready for use:

Call Forward - The vanilla service

Set up in Webcare, Call Forward does what it says on the tin. After a period of time defined by you, a call will be passed on to a phone of your choice. If you’re using the Broadband Voice Plus tariff, this forward is free to local and national landlines!

Selective Call Forward – The custom forward

Let’s say you’re busy but expecting an important call from a particular client. Selective Call Forwarding is your best option. You can use selective call forwarding to specify a list of telephone numbers to be redirected to another number whenever any of them calls. You can also redirect an anonymous number by setting up call forwarding after you have received a call where the caller has withheld their number.

Find-Me-Follow-Me – The ultimate solution

Find-Me-Follow-Me, free with Broadband Voice and BT Hosted VoIP will send calls to your home phone or alternate office and then forward again unlimited times until the call reaches you. Alternatively, it can ring all of your phones (e.g: home, office, mobiles) simultaneously.

No more excuses for missed calls!

To set up Live Chat, log into your account at www.bt.com/business/login then click on 'Manage your website' link at the bottom of the page (in the Websites and domain names section).  Click on the domain name of the website you wish to add Live Chat to and this will take you into the BT Website Centre.  Click on the Site Builders tab and then on the EasyLiveChat link on the left hand side.  Follow the instructions to install and set up Live Chat.

Thanks,

Charlotte
