Office Live is still relatively clunky. I would recommend that you have a look at www.glasscubes.com as it's designed to be as simple as possible, give you workspaces (as many as you need), manage discussions online, calendars and it has a very handy contact management system.
I can't emphasise just how easy it is to use though...

BT just keeps heaping insult on to injury with this product. Yesterday I got an email from them which was basically a sales pitch for Glasscubes. But they still haven't given us a way to transfer Workspace discussions and archives out of Workspace to Glasscubes, any other PM, or even bloody plain text. They're trying to make themselves look good, but they've just made themselves look worse.
There's a great irony in BT completly buggering up a co-branding arrangement and then putting more effort into making a new one than fixing their own faults with the first one! The mere fact that BT is promoting Glasscubes tells me not to use it. Basecamp for me.

As someone who works for Glasscubes, I just wanted to help clarify the situation regarding the email.
Glasscubes is a privately owned business with no affiliation with BT. It is our own technology which means that there are no limitations in what we can develop - so we constantly ask for feedback and suggestions on what would help improve it.
The email came about because we noticed that BT was closing Workspace and then tried to contact BT and find out what was happening to all the users.
Glasscubes isn't going into partnership with BT, simply trying to raise awareness of an alternative. We're also trying our best to help get information out of accounts but with very limited success to date and we are concious of the time constraints.
Basecamp is certainly a viable option for anybody, but we wanted to at least let people know that alternatives were out there.

Hi All,
Just to clarify, our customers should have received the following email about this on the 31st August 2009:
Dear BT Workspace User
Withdrawal of BT Workspace/BT Workspace Lite BT would like to inform you of their intention to remove BT Workspace/BT Workspace Lite from its business portfolio. This will directly affect you as you have been identified as a customer of this service. Under the terms of the Agreement for the provision of this service, BT may withdraw its offer in respect of BT Workspace/BT Workspace Lite. This communication is therefore BT’s formal notice to advise you of the withdrawal of the offer to provide BT Workspace/BT Workspace Lite. In these circumstances the Agreement provides that your service may continue to be provided by SMB Live Corporation as defined in the terms and conditions for the End User License Agreement between yourself and SMB Live. However we are informed that SMB Live will not continue with the provision of the service following BT’s withdrawal. We are also informed that, in accordance with the terms and conditions of BT Workspace , SMB Live will be writing to you separately to provide you with the formal 90 day notice of the termination of your Agreement for the provision of the service, from the date of their communication. This means that once the 90 days notice period has expired you will no longer be able to log in to your BT Workspace account nor access any of the files and information you have stored within this facility. It is your responsibility as the owner of your Workspace account(s) to remove all information and documents within the timescales outlined above. Please be aware that BT will not retain any copies of these documents, nor will we have access to any data after the cease date. Please make arrangements to transfer any data you wish to retain to an alternative source. If you have upgraded previously to the paid-for variant of BT Workspace, please note that BT will no longer continue to collect payments after the notice period has expired. If you wish to view the current Terms and Conditions, please go to http://business.bt.com/broadband-and-internet/busiBT Business Workspace Team
