Q: First of all, did you enjoy the trip?(!)
A: It was absolutely fantastic. It surpassed all my expectations and I enjoyed every aspect of it. It was superbly well organised and those of us lucky enough to be there truly felt like we were treated like royalty. We were looked after extremely well. Being able to see the Forbidden City and visit the Great Wall of China is something I'd only previously dreamt about so to be there for real was unbelievable.
Q: Tell us a bit about the Opening Ceremony, what were your highlights?
A: The Opening Ceremony was 'awesome' in the true sense of the word! Even walking into the Stadium was an experience in itself. The start was amazing with the 2008 drummers - the sound was fantastic and we had a brilliant view. Each member of the audience was provided with an Opening Ceremony gift bag which had some goodies in it including an LED flashing wand in one of 5 colours, a torch, a small drum, a scarf with the Olympic red and white swirling pattern on, a China flag or a flag with the Olympic Rings on, a hardback commemorative programme, some friendship bracelets and a much needed bottle of water! The atmosphere was great and to be a part of it something we will never forget. One of our favourite parts was when the Earth came out from the stadium centre and Sarah Brightman sang the Beijing 2008 song. We were moved to tears on more than one occasion due to the absolute splendour we saw.
Q: Which of the sporting events did you go to and what were your favourite moments?
A: We went to the Basketball and saw the preliminary men's round. We were lucky enough to see the USA v China match which was a really sought after event. This was probably my favourite event. We also saw ladies artistic Gymnastics which was amazing. Such skills.
Q: And last but by no means least, will you be using the Forum again?
A: If I have any questions about my BT Business broadband I will definitely make it my first place to look. I received a swift and helpful response to my previous questions and would recommend it to anyone who needs support.
